We didn’t come to Osprey to be reinvented. We came looking for a way to scale what already worked—without trading the values that our company was built on. About five years ago, during strategic planning, our leadership team saw the ceiling coming. Growth beyond our five-year goals would require bigger moves and bigger investment: new facilities, building a sales team, and eventually acquisitions—plus capital and expertise that we didn’t have in-house.

But the real driver was our people. We’ve been training the next generation of leaders, all with desires to continue to grow and develop their careers. Without continued growth, opportunities would bottleneck. And when talented people can’t see a path forward, they leave. That’s not what we wanted.

EarthWorks was founded in 1979 as a family company in Lillian, Texas, and we’ve expanded throughout DFW and into Houston without changing our standard. Internally, we call that The EarthWorks Effect: great crews, strong leadership, and a level of service that makes property teams feel taken care of. So as we explored partnership options, our goal was to find a business that would honor our legacy and support our continued desire to scale and create opportunities for our teams.

Seven months into the partnership, that’s exactly what’s happened. With Osprey alongside us, we’ve built a growing sales team, completed our first acquisition, and strengthened the systems behind the business—better reporting, deeper business intelligence, and a supportive community of talented operators across the Osprey Companies. Most importantly, it’s helping us create a bigger future inside the company for the people we’ve been investing in for years.
